I’m Christie Northrup. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I’m also a wife, a mom, a grandma, and business owner. My best friend/husband of thirty-nine years, Robert (Bob), and I live outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. We moved here from Henderson, Nevada where our three adorable grandchildren, our son and his beautiful wife live.

Prior to that, we lived in the beautiful city of Nauvoo, Illinois where Bob and I owned and operated Pair-A-Bowls, a kitchen store and cooking school. Prior to moving to Nauvoo, I wrote my first cookbooklet, CookINspiration.  I love cooking, teaching, and marketing, so this store was a great match. The best part of the business was all of the great friends we met and made.

For the past few years, when I’d be creating in my kitchen, I’d think about how the recipe reminded me of the scriptures and the life lessons they contain. I came to know that the scriptures contain the recipes for our mortal lives.

I love the scriptures; I know they are the words of God! They have been my guide throughout my adult life. The only regret I have is that I did not discover this treasure when I was a teenager and that I don’t use this gift more often.

I’ll share the lessons I’ve learned, the recipes I’ve created, and the testimony I’ve gained as I have feasted upon the wonderful words of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
