Most Christians profess that they put God and Christ FIRST in their lives. I count myself as part of that group. However, I found that my words did not always mesh with my actions, as Christ commanded in Matthew 22: 37-38:
This is the first and great acommandment.
I FIRST looked at my day. What was I putting FIRST in my life?
My typical morning began with turning on my electronic idol: the computer so I could check my email, Facebook, and shopping carts for orders from customers. I found myself getting easily annoyed with vendors, customers, and especially my family.
As I contemplated this FIRST commandment given by Jesus, I decided to put Him and Heavenly Father FIRST in my life by praying FIRST thing in the morning. Along with prayers, I opened my scriptures to read and receive personal guidance BEFORE I began my day.
I would like to say this is my routine every day, but sometimes I slip up. I know when I actually, not in theory only, put my Savior and my Father FIRST in my day,
